ABOUT MWAZ

Medical Women’s Association of Zambia is a professional non-profit, non-governmental voluntary association for female doctors practicing in Zambia or abroad. Our mission is to advance the personal and professional development of medical women and students, developing leaders at all levels of the health industry while promoting the health of Zambian women and their families.

We represent a unique and important voice, highlighting the experiences and potential of our members, and can leverage these attributes to advocate for improvements in health for women and their families. MWAZ aspires to create a platform that can influence and inform positive, relevant change on matters affecting our membership and the targeted members of the community by bringing together different stakeholders.

The Medical Women‘s Association of Zambia seeks to be the hub for personal and professional development for medical women while being the leading advocate for the health of Zambian women and their families.

The principle aim of MWAZ is to advance the individual and professional development of medical women and students in Zambia, developing leaders at all levels of health industry from within its member constituency and further, to promote the health of Zambian women and their families.
